I have been thinking about trying Rogaine, but on the box it says that it is for hair loss on the “crown” or top of the head only. I have a general thinning as well as some receding in front. I was wondering if anyone here has used it and whether or not they saw improvement other than the crown. I can still see faint little hairs where mine has receded. They only grow about the length of chin stubble and are completely pigmentless, so you can only see them if you look really closely in a mirror. Also, if anyone has tried or knows of another topical hair loss treatment that might work better please let me know. It’s hard to have a mohawk when you don’t have much hair!

What can i do? I cant touch my hair and because like 5 hairs come out, i dont even wanna tell you how much hair i lose in the shower. My dog, Lady keeps having recurring outbreaks. The diagnosis was made by a lab from samples taken from the vet. Treatments with Prednisone 10mg have given some relief. After treatment Lady may stay cleared up for a couple of weeks but soon has a relapse. Of course with the treatments of Prednisone she inflates like a basketball and it causes her to be unable to control her bowel and bladder. Hair loss, and itching are prevalent prior to treatment. She has been on this current treatment at least 3 times but continues to have outbreaks.

But from what I’ve read, people who formerly had thick hair and suffered from loss are the ones getting success out of a weekly coconut oil treatment on their hair.

As for me, I’ve always had thin hair. Well… my mom said I had ridiculously thick hair when I was a toddler. But it got thinner as I got older, but not in a bad, aging hair loss way. Just a part of changing.
She said it’s probably because we have a little Spanish blood in us and apparently, Spaniards have thinner hair.

As a matter of fact, I actually already bought a jar of GNC’s Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
I’ve already applied it once a week about 4 times already and I’m not sure if it’s helping.
Which is also why I wanted to ask this.

Am I expecting too fast of a change or is it not just working out for me? :
