regrow hair
Tim Vincent asked:

People who have hair loss generally think about the ability to regrow their hair. What they infact want is something that they can massage on their scalp and then the hairs just reappear. There is no such thing at the moment but there are goods that promise to stop further hair loss and maybe revitalize some of the lost hair, if the follicles haven’t fully withered away. Here are some of the products, which say hair growth is possible.

Propecia is claimed to be the planet’s most prevalent hair loss treatment. It is made up of of a pill which must be taken on a regular basis. In Trials 2/3 of men said that they had had some degree of hair regrowth while five sixths stated that they had ept the thickness of hair that they had. Propecia is an anti DHT formula and works by stopping DHT being produced in the hair follicles. Due to the fact that it works on the androgen system this hair loss treatment is not suitable for women to use. It doesn’t work on all men and if there have been no positive results after12 months of treatment then it is not sure that it will work on that particular person.

Revivogen is a product made up from totally natural materials. It is applied directly on to the follicles. It operates in the same way as Propecia by blocking the formation of DHT in the hair follicles. Women can use this treatment because it only reacts in a local area in the scalp. Other ingredients in the product are claimed to block the receptors of male hormones in the scalp and also stimulate the growth of hair. In consumer tests of the product over70% of people stated that they either maintained the identical thickness of hair or had some hair regrowth.

Laser hair restoration is a procedure using low power lasers to stimulate hair follicles in the scalp. This cold beam laser light will not inflame or harm the skin at all. The laser light actually helps to increase blood circulation in the skin and helps hair follicles to make new hair. This treatment is suitable for both men and women. You can travel to a hair clinic for treatment but this has to be on a regular schedule and would prove quite expensive in the long term. An alternative to this is to buy a laser comb. This is a truly portable device using up to date technology to miniaturize the same systems used in the bigger clinic laser hoods. Although there is a cost up front for the laser comb it will pay for itself with lots of future use. In clinical tests over ninety percent of clients found that they had some thickening of the hair after using the procedure for half a year. Even better results were seen if the laser comb was used in conjunction with one of the other treatments such as Propecia or Revivogen. Some hair clinics dosay that clients should use the laser comb between visits to the clinic for the main treatment.

Minoxidil is the scientific name for the active substances used as the basis for a number of various treatments such as Rogaine and Regaine. at first it was a medicine used to treat high blood pressure, but a lot of of patients also said that it reversed or slowed down their hair loss. Since then many tests have been done and Minoxidil is accepted as being useful in the treatment of baldness, where it can stop hair loss or even cause hair regrowth. It is put directly on to the scalp in an alcohol based solution. The treatment is appropriate for men and women although different strengths of the drug must be used. Fifty % of men using the treatment had increases in hair growth over a years usage period. Results get better in younger men. It is not clear how the drug acts exactly but one of its main rsults is to make larger the circulation of blood in the scalp to the hair follicles.

All of the treatments given above have displayed that they are able to regrow hair. However, none of them provides the magic cure-all that people really want. They are not one off treatments because they must be applied on a regular basis. Once the medication is ceased then all gains made will be gradually lost over time.

have less hair and less. is it because hair keeps falling but new hair doesn’t grow anymore, or new hair is formed but not enough to offset the loss?

Kymimom asked:

Wondering if the active ingredient in Rogaine is Minoxidil?
Because I bought the COSTCO (Kirkland brand) of
Minoxidil ( 5% extra strength) for my husband.

After reading the insert it illustrates that it should be used on what they call the “vertex” of the scalp ( basically the crown of the head)
the problem is …
My husbands hair loss is around the front of the hairline from the forehead up on either side like a V.
I’m wondering if this kind of Hair regrowth treatment will work for him.
When I looked up Rogaine online it doesn’t specify an area on the head like the Minoxidil does…
any ideas
suggestions
experiance?
He has a “receding hairline” I just read on another post that perhaps Minoxidil doesn’t work on it?
For any of you guys reading this and concerned about Hairloss… and what women think… I thought I’d note that “my husband” is the one concerned about the hair loss. I personally think guys with bald heads are kinda sexy;)

I’m 21 and all ready starting to get a receding hairline. I’m kind of obssesed with my hair so of freaking out a little bit. Like some days I spend over an hour fixing my hair before I go out in public. It’s really good, thick hair and I really don’t want to shave my head. Does anybody know anything about Rogaine or other hair loss treatments? And if so are there any crazy side effects?
