My scalp feels dry but my hair feels oily. I don’t have dandruff, but my head is itchy?

hair loss treatment
echostar asked:

I went to a dermatologist and mentioned I had hair loss after a diet and she didn’t have much to say about the itchiness. She wasn’t very helpful, so I thought I would ask answers if anyone can help me. My hair appears dry and brittle all the time, but when I wake up, I touch my scalp and it feels cool and oily. When I brush my hair it is itchy and scaly. I thought it was dandruff so I used different products and it didn’t help. I was told my scalp is really dry, so I tried other products, nothing helps. I want to buy a product from Walmart, but no one knows anything. My mother mentioned hot oil treatment, but I am afraid of more hair loss. That is my main concern at this time. I do not have an illness, disease or other condition, I have checked into everything. Do you have any ideas what I can do or use?
I mentioned that I dont have any other conditons and I was checked for everything else, so I dont have head lice.
I tried head and shoulders and it dried it out more.
Thanks, I have been taking cod liver oil and olive oil and no changes in the last few months.
Will the hot oil remove more hair, because I have lost so much, and thats what I am afraid of.

What products and methods should I use on my blonde, fragile, abormally frizzy, curly hair?

My hair is not normal. I have what is affectionately referred to as a “Jew ‘fro”. But it’s much frizzier and tighter curled, than the average Jewish curly mane. It’s this uncontrollable, erratic, frizzy Z curl that I can do nothing with! It’s extremely course. It feels like fiberglass. Constantly tangles! (My hair is long. Short becomes an afro.) I always use either moisturizing or anti-frizz shampoos and conditioners and leave-in conditioners and anti-frizz treatments and they don’t help. I also don’t wash my hair every day as that would be too drying. I’m at a loss. My hair is also very fragile and breaks constantly, even with a wide toothed comb. And tons of my hair comes out in the shower. It’s aweful! Because I am blonde, I have no melanin to give added strength. They never know what to do with my hair at salons as they aren’t used to dealing with my hair type. Any advice on what I can do or use? And how can I keep it detangled daily, without having to wash it daily?

Bleaching hair at home how to?

honhill asked:

First off let me say that I have medically induced hair loss, my hair isn’t growing back after 2 years of treatment, so I am not afraid of hair breakage or damage LOL! I usually wear blonde extensions or a full on wig, but i have started exercising outdoors more and that is hot. I have naturally medium to dark brown hair. I want to bleach out my hair and wear it tucked up under a cap when I am out running (it will be cooler than wearing extensions, partial wig, etc.) so there won’t be a HUGE difference in “look she has dark hair when she’s running and light hair when she is going out” I had my hair bleached/colored at the salon, but it is sooo expensive, especially since i already pay a lot for my extensions and wigs. How can I get my hair to a platinum blonde at home? I greatly appreciate any tips!

If anyone who has been through chemo, can tell me about their experience, I would love to hear. I am really interested in knowing how long it took for the first treatment. Then, I would also like to know about your hair loss. Was it all at once, the first week, later on?

Mine starts tomorrow and I am very nervous. Thanks for any input.
