I am a guy 18 yrs old who always has had short hair I would get it cut every month, and decided to have it long havent cut it since December its not long up to my shoulder but fairly long. I began to use baby oil since my hair gets very dry. I have started to experience a lot of hair loss. Could this be because of the length, baby oil? Also since I dont get home from school till 6:00pm I usually have my first meal of the day at that time could that also play a role in my hair loss?

i’ve been losing alot more hair than usual lately. my mom said it was because i was straightening my hair too much, but i havent straightened my hair in 2 months and i still seem to lose the same amount. i also began adding baby oil to my hair a couple of hours before i wash it, but i still lose alot of hair in the shower. especially after i wash it. can someone tell me the cause of my hair loss or what i can do to stop losing so much hair?
