My friends Malamute has hair loss in several spots. Its not red or infected so pretty sure its not Mange. The dog has also been taken off corn type dog food…any kind of natural remedies or vitamin type supplements anyone can advise?

Fairly confident, after research that it is Demodectic mange. (DO NOT WORRY MY VET WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY) Right now it is just my guess. If it is Demodectic mange how hard is this to treat? What kinds of things is my dog going to go through during treatment? So far he doesn’t have much loss of hair to his face. Do I need to worry about my other dogs catching this? Is the cost of treatment very expensive? Even with treatment will he continue to lose his fur? Don’t worry like I said my vet has the final opinion. I plan to ask him all these questions as well as a list I’m composing. I’m just curious and very scared for my pup.
