hair loss treatment

On the surface, hair just seems pretty straight forward and simple. But hair is a lot more complicated than what meets the eye. We lose about a hundred strands of hair a day. If you’re a man between 20-45 years of age, and you start to see yourself losing hair on your scalp, then you are probably experiencing the beginning forms of male pattern baldness. Sometimes it’s good to use over the counter treatments like Propecia pills. But the problem with this is that it contains the side affect of losing your sexual drive and having a high sex drive is not only normal for men but is also healthy for our bodies. That is why you may consider using a natural hair loss treatment.

In my early 20′s, I have gone through early stages of hair loss and it has affected me in many ways. I never used hats before, but I see myself wearing hats more often nowadays whenever I go out. The reason for this is because when you have receding hair lines or thinning hair, wearing a hat allows you to flatten your hair, making your hair loss seem less obvious. Now I’m not saying this happens to everybody. Some people wear hats for the heck of it, but I use hats more as a prop to coordinate my hair rather than for the looks. It can be embarrassing sometimes, and that’s why if you’re not looking to not waste a lot of money on hair restoration (the ones you see on TV) you may want to try using a natural hair loss treatment.

One natural hair loss treatment involves massaging your scalp. The reason this helps is because it increases and stimulates circulation to your scalp. This opens blood vessels and allows for cells of the hair follicles to receive more nutrients necessary for hair growth along with improving the strength of the hair root. Massaging your scalp also allows your bodies stress level to lower. Lower stress levels enable your organisms to function more efficiently, and in turn helps boost your hair follicles ability to re-grow hair. With a combination of nourishing oils and scalp massaging, this will reduce any process of dandruff or dry skin that interferes with hair growth process and naturally help your hair stay healthy, stimulated, and prevent more hair from falling out.

If you are a guy, are you embarrassed by your receding hair line? If you are a woman or child are you self-conscious about your thinning hair? You may be surprised that many people in today’s society are not able to distinguish fact from fiction when it comes to the subject of baldness.

You can put some of the blame on individuals and companies who are exploiting hair loss myths just so that they can make a fast buck by selling bogus hair products. Since many people are reluctant to speak about the subject that remains both emotional and sensitive, this contributes to still-circulating hair loss myths.

To be very matter of fact about it, baldness, no matter if it is temporary or permanent, cannot be cured. However, there are hair loss treatments that will help to promote the growth of hair or even hide baldness. For some types of hair loss, you may find that the hair resumes growing without having to look for any special treatment.

Medication

The effectiveness of medications that are used in the treatment of hair loss depends on the reason of its cause, the extent of the loss, and the individual’s response to the product. The more extensive your hair loss is, the less effective the treatment will be.

The types of drugs that are used for hair loss prevention which are approved by the FDA include the following:

Rogaine (Minoxidil) This is an over-the-counter product that has been approved for certain types of hair loss. Rogaine comes in either a foam or a liquid that you rub into the scalp two times a day in order to grow hair as well as to prevent further hair loss. New hair resulting from Rogaine may be shorter and thinner than your previous hair.

However, enough hair may be produced that will hide any bald spots you may have, and you will be able to blend in the new hair with your existing hair. After you stop using Rogaine, new growth will stop. It may take as long as three months for new hair to begin growing.

Propecia (Finasteride) This is a prescription medication that is used to treat male-pattern baldness and is taken every day in pill form. Many men who take this product will experience a slowing of hair loss, and some may even see some newgrowth. It may take several months to see any difference while taking this hair loss remedy. Propecia is NOT to use used by women. If you are a pregnant woman, you may not even handle broken or crushed Propecia tablets as this may be a source of serious birth defects in unborn male babies.

Corticosteroids Another hair loss solution is getting injections of cortisone directly into the scalp. You may begin to see new hair growth about four weeks after the first injection. You may also use creams and ointments, but these are usually not as effective as the monthly injections.

Anthralin (Dritho-Scalp) This product is a synthetic, tarry substance that comes in either an ointment or a cream and is usually used to treat psoriasis as well as some other skin conditions. Anthralin may stimulate new hair growth, but it may take about three months to see new hair appear.

Of course, there are surgical procedures that can be effective as a hair loss treatment. However, two of the big drawbacks are that some of these procedures are quite expensive and can be quite painful. Make sure that if you follow this route you only go to a board-certified dermatologist or cosmetic or plastic surgeon.

Another remedy to consider is to wear a hairpiece or wig. If you are having issues concerning a lack of confidence or self-worth and you do not want to seek medical treatment, there are many quality, natural-looking hairpieces and wigs available nowadays.

One of the most common ways of treating hair loss today is through laser hair loss treatment. It was already performed in the 1970s, and at that time it was not officially on the market. It is a non-surgical solution for hair loss, thinning hair, and baldness, as well as, other disorders of the scalp such as dermatitis.

Technically it is a piece of equipment that has 31 therapeutic soft low light level lasers delivering light energy to different places on the hair. This principle is based on stimulating cell metabolism while repairing damaged cells at the same time. By using the power of laser light you can boost and revitalize your hair. The theory is that light is energy and living cells survive thanks to light. The same goes for your hair. This has proven to be very efficient combined with proper hair hygiene products. As a matter of fact, laser hair loss treatment is more effective when used together with Minoxidil (the first drug approved by the FDA for hair loss), and with the right scalp hygiene.

Laser hair loss treatment has been so successful that it has received numerous, positive reviews. Magazines, newspapers as well TV channels claim that the success of this method of treating hair loss is one of the best that can be found today, a problem that is not only afflicting men but also a good percentage of women.

Many are the benefits of laser hair loss treatment and many people who tried it have claimed that their hair loss had been greatly reduced after six to twelve weeks of use and slight differences could even be seen after twelve weeks.

Using laser hair loss treatment can improve the flow of blood supply to the scalp after a single treatment. The correct dosage of light energy is applied from a different number of laser positions and helps in stimulating hair follicles, preventing too much hair loss and giving beautiful hair which is shiny, soft as well as thick and better manageable.

Laser hair loss treatment is the new, scientific approach to reducing hair loss in the scalp, and does not require any kind of surgery at all just some patience and time. Moreover it has been medically tested to be both safe and effective.

Last but not least, studies conducted by the International Journal of Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology, have demonstrated that laser hair loss treatment can positively help lots of hair loss sufferers in reducing the amount of hair loss. The authors also found a link between low level laser and hair loss.

I’m looking for something to help with my thinning hair. I’m only 18, and already my hair is getting thin. Doctors say there’s nothing wrong with me, but I’ve noticed it has worsened greatly in the past two years, and I’ve decided it’s way past time to do something about it. I’m sure part of it’s due to stress, and there is nothing I can do to change that, so I wanted to try some type of treatment that has shown success. Please, any help?
