to rod- i am a 24 year old married stay at home mother of two. what about my lifestyle could cause hair loss? it began wen i was 14 year old HS freshman. i was a square kid, never partied, ad premarital sex, or took drugs. i took my vitamins, ate a high protein diet. i have celiac disease so i stayed off gluten containing foods.

I have medium texture african american hair. I have permanantly relaxing it for a long time. I have noticed that my hair is shorter in the back due to breakage, I gather. I know I have been stressed and possibly lacking some vitamins. Obviosly, those issues can be resolved almost instantly. However, I am at a loss about the management of my hair or what can I do to help the regrowth process? Should I perm? Should I wear hair extensions in the back? What hair treatment works best? What can I use or do to stop the breakage altogether? Etc!
I have already trimmed and cut my hair to a considerable length to even out the front with the back. (Still noticeable.)

I recently finished my Accutane treatment and have suffered from hair loss as a side effect. I heard Biotin helps hair growth and also nail strength. How much is suggested (5 mg, 1000, 3000, 5000)? Is there a formula depending upon weight? (i.e. 107 lbs) Are there any other vitamins suggested? Since Accutane is still in my system, I want to avoid any type of multivitamins since they contain Vitamin A. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
